African Artists in Race for U.S. BET Awards

Pop artistes, Wizkid and Yemi Alade, have been nominated alongside Ghana’s Sarkodie and Stoneboy, South Africa’s AKA, DRC’s Fally Ipupa and Kenya’s Sauti Sol for the award of Best International Act Africa category.

According to BET, their nominations were selected by BET’s Voting Academy, which is comprised of fans and entertainment professionals in the fields of television, film, music, social media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations, and the creative arts.

This year’s edition of the award which will hold Tuesday, June 30 saw the addition of a new category, Bet Global Good Award with Tanzania’s Millen Magese as the only nominee.
