Africa’s powerful and influential women were honored on Friday June 19th, 2015, at the African Union Diaspora Africa Forum Women in Excellence Awards.
The event, described as “star studded”, catered for current and former presidents and activists from the continent.
High points of the night, among other Women of Excellence, included honoring living legends such as Winnie Madikizela-Mandela with the “struggle hero and mother of the nation” award.
