19 year-old Kaneza Linca Amanda, a senior six student beat five other finalist to become Rwanda’s top model 2015. The competition, which was held at Kigali Serena hotel last Friday, attracted over 37 girls. The models were dressed by Rwanda’s top designers who also took advantage of the event to show off their new designer clothes of the season.
“Amanda has emerged winner because she has the body, a dark Africa look, height and clothes fit her well. She stands a high chance to make it in any competition,” said Flavia Rwabukamba, one of the judges from Uganda.
“We do not look at beauty,’ she concluded.
Top model Amanda thanked the judges who chose her and said that she would use her newfound fame to help people especially the poor. She also promised to showcase Rwanda to other counties.
In addition, Amanda was also given a year’s free supply of Influx lightening products from Serbia and will visit the factory.
