Orisha’s Journey, a Fantasy Tale of a Girl’s Journey Through The Spirit World By Ghanaian Animator Abdul Ndadi

Abdul Ndadi graduated in 2013 from the School of Visual Arts, New York. His recent work Orisha’s Journey was shown at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival in Japan (21st August 2014 – 25th August 2014).

The animation explores the power of a child’s imagination, as well as exploring the deep meanings and manifestations of Africa. In the animation Abdul explores the spirit world (‘Orisha’ denotes a spirit in Nigerian Yoruba cosmology) through the fantasy tale of a girls journey through a mysterious forest, where she learns the importance of her roots.
