Sound of Torture: Eritrean refugees, trapped and tortured in the Sinai desert, reach out to an activist radio host in Sweden.

Thousands of illegal migrants and asylum seekers are met with harsh situations as they flee their country and cross the Sinai desert to reach Israel, seeking refuge. One such group of people are Eritreans: over the past few years various news stories have emerged about the horrifying circumstances they have been met with. Devoted to telling the stories of the “hundreds of Eritrean refugees held hostage in wretched conditions in the Sinai desert” is “Voice of Eritreans”, a radio programme produced from Stockholm, by Meron Estefanos.
