In what is said to “silence the fiercest critics”, South African designer David Tlale’s collection at the New York Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2014 has received global attention. Championing South African fashion, his first runway show in the Big Apple is claimed to have concluded as elegantly and successfully as the onset. Affording him a distinct presence, his unique designs described as “elegant, mostly minimalist and refined” is said to have received the ‘global brand’ stamp by the so-called Mecca of fashion.
David Tlale is an award-winning designer based in Johannesburg. He launched his brand in 2003; since, he has won the “Elle New Talent” in South Africa, has been noted as the “Best Designer by the Sunday Times” in South Africa, and has received many more accolades and awards proving that he is “a design force with creations that go far beyond expectations”.
