In an effort to celebrate, give prominence to, and educate the world on African-women in its history, UNESCO releases an e-learning platform within the framework of Phase II of its General History of Africa project. In doing so, it has called young African-women authors and artists from all over Africa to narrate and perform -in teaching styles that enables understanding of cultural dimensions, and highlights the social and political dynamics- the legacy of an African-woman in the history of their native.

An on-going project with an open educational resource to teach and celebrate with the world the phenomenal women in African history. The website is open to all. UNESCO invites schools and universities to freely use, promote, and distribute the contents of the site. Each of the figures has a dedicated module, some still in development. AS4A invites you to take a look, and share with us your impressions.
